Teaching Health Education seeks to present the background, content and strategies necessary for facilitating the teaching of health education in the schools and colleges. It is believed that the health education must originate with a solid knowledge base. The New York State Professional Preparation Council for Physical Education (NYSPPCPE) is an organization with a membership of approximately twenty colleges in New York State that have a physical education major program preparing students to be physical educators in schools.
