As great as this book is, you will need to read Annihilation Book 1 and Book 2 beforehand. The quality artwork is inconsistant in the first 2 books but the story is still great. The Annihilation Wave was a great Marvel event that used many long-standing characters like Thanos, Annihilus, Nova, Quasar, Super Skrull, Drax, Galactus and many, many /5(42).

While the first book brokered questions and set the table, Annihilation 2 didnt really serve a purposeexcept to teach Book 3 book spelling of annihilation. The powers who be wouldve been wise to cut the pointless Heralds of Galactus and actually told the most important part of the book: the confrontation between Galactus and the two proemial gods/5.

Annihilation succeeds where Marvel's Civil War failed. Civil War was boring, poorly written, and hard to swallow.

Annihilation in comparison is a great book that actually has some believability to it and a real sense of jeopardy for the heroes involved/5. Shadows of Annihilation (A Novel of an Alternate World War Book 3) out of 5 stars (18) Kindle Edition.

out of 5 stars Good conclusion to "Annihilation" story but too much filler in Volume 3 Reviewed in Book 3 book United States on April 6, Marvel's third of three "Annihilation" volumes collects the six-issue eponymous mini-series as well as two Heralds of Galactus issues/5.

Annihilation in comparison is a great book that actually has some believability to it and a real sense of jeopardy for the heroes involved.

Plus, it breathes some new life into some cosmic heroes/villains that have been on the back burner far too long at Marvel/5(41). Since Annihilation is told in a series of connected miniseries by different artists and writers the results are naturally uneven and in this book it really hurts.

This volume has 3 seperate stories, the Silver Surver miniseries, Superskrull and Ronan the Accuser. Each has /5(50). Annihilation is a sci-fi novel that follows a team of four women as they explore a mysterious region known as Area X.

A shady company called Southern Reach is sending teams of biologists, anthropologists, linguists, architects and others into Area X to try to discover just what it /5.
